Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, orange juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  3. If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Alternatively, place the salmon on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the salmon is cooking, pour the marinade into a small saucepan. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of water and add it to the saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  6. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the grill or oven and drizzle with the thickened sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
