- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 cup chopped pickles
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- Green onions, for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil or butter.
- Add onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
- Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles. Mix well.
- Add cooked rice and stir until evenly combined and heated through.
- Turn off heat, sprinkle cheese over the top, and gently mix once melted.
- Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot.
