A quick and comforting one-skillet meal that combines all the flavors of a cheeseburger — seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, tangy pickles, and fluffy rice — into a warm and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickles
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Green onions, for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil or butter.
  2. Add onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, and chopped pickles. Mix well.
  5. Add cooked rice and stir until evenly combined and heated through.
  6. Turn off heat, sprinkle cheese over the top, and gently mix once melted.
  7. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds and serve hot.
